who,
what
& why freefall?
Â
mostly, we're just a dream that never died & a community that is itching to flourish...

FREEFALL FOUNDER & TEACHER
meet nichole
welcome! I am so glad you are here - freefall would not be, without youÂ

here's the who

raised in the southern greens in the cozy nook of Jamaica, I "grew up" loving sports. Â big time. I didn't know another way. horseback riding, ski racing, soccer, lacrosse, hiking & biking filled up my life. I absolutely loved it.Â

I ran off to north carolina for college, gained freewill & started to do less. so much less that I lost my lust for life. I was dull. drinking, smoking, overeating, underrating, not feeling excited or motivated. forget inspired. try embarrassed, anxious & lazy. when I got back home to my parents farm after freshman year, I knew I needed a reset.Â
lucky me, my mom was a baptiste yoga teacher. she welcomed me into her studio (s/o change yoga) & I sh*t you not, I got my light back in the blink of an eye.

you could find me in the studio every day that summer. I started running again. eating purposefully. before I went back to school I researched & found feel better yoga, a bapstite-inspired studio just miles from campus. I kept practicing in community & I kept seeing changes I really liked in myself. there was ease, acceptance, forgiveness and purpose!Â

through my yoga practice, I woke up to the human condition of suffering & have since been in discovery of yoga acting as the gateway to being ok with what is.

mom aka polly - my first teacher, of yoga & life

I took my first teacher training that spring of 2019: journey into power with baron baptiste. I came back and started teaching at change yoga. I kept going to trainings. I kept practicing. my yoga community kept growing.
Â
I fell off the wagon a time or two. but I have come back stronger each time. more committed & more certain this practice is magic & that the magic is in the work.
Â
& every time I step onto my mat or see my students practice, I am reminded: energy flows where attention goes. I am reminded that where there is bad thing, so there is good thing. I am reminded I create ease & it will be ok.
mom, me, aunty karen - my first summer in change yoga
here's the what

I landed in Jeffersonville in June of 2025, not sure if I would be staying when I arrived but realized quickly what an incredible place exists at the base of the top of Vermont.
Â
& when the wonderful guy who brought me to these hills sent me the listing for a studio space, I leapt. now I am in freefall in the best way possible. giving in, not up, to what feels so right!

if you work on baptiste yoga, baptiste yoga will work on you. at freefall, we practice transformative process of the poses, the meditation & the inquiry because it creates ease and allows the best versions of ourselves to shine.

here's the why

after college and COVID I reopened ran my mom's studio for almost two years & it filled my soul to step into those doors and lead a practice with people who focused on the good in themselves & the light that does exist in this world. I have been missing it so much.Â
Â
so here we are!

welcome to this new chapter. it is time for us to freefall! time you find your flow. like that one you feel floating down your favorite ski trail, in the moment, nowhere but here. that "this is it" feeling.Â

come join me in the studio & lets roll out our mats!
